The Codex is the heart of Love First: a growing collection of teachings, practices, and wisdom to help you become your best self and create a better world.

Love First is currently in active development and release, and what’s available on this website right now is called the first volution: the first growth cycle of the philosophy and framework. Instead of only talking about version numbers, in Love First we begin by talking about the volutions of a spiral.

Volutions represent growth in a sustainable and balanced manner; rather than only becoming “bigger” or “more”, a volution represents growth in all directions, including ‘down’. Sometimes, growth — in the sense of: improvements, making things better — is best modeled through Degrowth-principles, rather than outdated economic models of “more = better.”

Countries around the world are starting to implement Degrowth principles to replace GDP as their metric for successful policy, and instead focus on human wellness and well-being as a key metric. Additionally, phasing out fossil fuels and creating regenerative, sustainable infrastructure and economic systems is a form of thinking about growth using spiral dynamics instead of “more = better.”

This is part of the ongoing shift towards a Love First world: a world where capital doesn’t dictate society, but rather, merely serves as a mechanism through which the Loving society operates, takes care of people, and stewards nature and the planet towards sustainable equilibrium.
